A multinational defense organization is seeking a highly motivated Staff Officer (Engagement) to coordinate tasks and develop engagement plans. The ideal candidate will have a university degree or higher secondary education with vocational training, along with military experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact in a multi-national team dedicated to promoting peace and democratic values.
We are hiring a highly motivated individual to join the Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) as Staff Officer (Engagement), NATO Grade 15.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and post-processing JSEC engagements, as well as synchronizing all necessary activities within JSEC to support these engagements. While utilizing your comprehensive understanding of joint & combined NATO operations, you develop a mid- and long-term engagement plan, advise on outreach activities, plan and coordinate the development of preparation packages and contribute to the information and communication activities. Your actions require clarity of thought, sound consistent judgement, good interpersonal and communication skills to cooperate with other NATO commands/stakeholders. Your work will play a key role in the development of permanent or annual StratCom documents, communication plans and directly contribute to the successful accomplishment of the JSEC engagement process.

Headquarters JSEC provides a resilient operational-level Joint Headquarters, capable of supporting 24/7 operations to coordinate enablement (at the operational level) and, on order, the execution of reinforcement by forces (RbyFo) and sustainment flow in order to contribute to the Alliance's ability to project and sustain combat power into a Joint Operations Area (JOA).
The Communications Directorate (J10) has the responsibility for planning and execution of Strategic Communications (StratCom) in accordance with higher HQs direction and guidance and HQ RRAs as functional command for SACEUR’s AOR.
The Strategic Communication Branch (StratCom) is responsible for the execution of Strategic Communications, preparing direction and guidance for the HQ communication capabilities and information staff functions.

Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.
Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter, an indefinite duration contract might be offered.
