Job summary

Redcare Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead two engineering teams focused on the Retail – Transaction checkout journey. You will influence architecture across web, backend and native mobile experiences, collaborating on payments, orders and shipping to deliver scalable solutions for millions of customers across Europe.

In this remote role based in Germany, occasional on-site collaboration at Berlin or Cologne offices may be required to align with business needs and teams.

About the role:
As a Staff Software Engineer within our Retail – Transaction domain, you’ll take technical leadership across two engineering teams responsible for one of the most critical customer journeys at Redcare Pharmacy. Combining deep hands-on engineering with Staff-level influence, you’ll shape how our checkout capabilities evolve across web, backend and, increasingly, native mobile experiences while creating technical alignment across connected areas such as payments, orders and shipping.
This is an opportunity to influence beyond individual features or a single codebase: you’ll help set architectural direction, raise engineering standards and turn complex business and technical challenges into scalable solutions used by millions of customers across Europe.
