Jobbeschreibung

With our AI-powered, fully automated optimization and trading platform for flexible energy assets — from grid-scale batteries to virtual power plants — we ensure that energy is stored when it’s abundant and released into the grid when it’s needed. By actively trading electricity, we help stabilize the grid and maximize returns for asset owners, accelerating the transition to a clean energy future.

To drive the smart and sustainable energy future, we are looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Staff Energy Data Analyst to lead Entrix’s analytics initiatives, shape company-wide learning from data, and contribute to the success of our core product.

Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Analyst, you will play a leading individual contributor (IC) role in shaping Entrix’s analytics strategy, driving cross-functional alignment, and amplifying business impact through data. While you won’t manage people directly, you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and trusted advisor, guiding others through expertise, collaboration, and influence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product & market analytics: Analyze trading algorithm performance, market behavior, and system optimization to drive measurable business impact and enhance overall product performance.
  • Drive strategic insights: Partner with leadership on data-driven decision-making, providing actionable recommendations that shape Entrix’s product roadmap and business priorities.
  • Mentor & lead: Guide and support analysts and peers through mentorship and technical leadership, fostering a culture of analytical excellence without formal people management.
  • Align cross-functional analytics: Coordinate analytics efforts across teams, ensuring consistent methodologies, clear ownership, and effective collaboration across product, engineering, data science, and commercial domains.
  • Enable data-driven learning: Develop and maintain analytics frameworks, KPIs, and tooling. Ensure insights are embedded into processes, promoting continuous learning and operational excellence.
  • Engage with customers & partners: Present findings to external stakeholders, tailoring insights to support customer success, business development, and strategic partnerships.
Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or researcher, ideally within energy, trading, or SaaS sectors.
  • Deep expertise in energy markets and flexibility optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and applied statistical methods (hypothesis testing, A/B testing, time series analysis, descriptive & predictive analytics).
  • Strong understanding of cloud development principles and core AWS components.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional analytical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels (including executive and customer-facing roles).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Skills that set you apart:

  • Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
  • Hands-on knowledge of trading algorithms, optimization models, or market simulations.
  • Advanced data visualization capabilities (Grafana, Plotly, custom dashboards).
  • Strong technical foundation in energy storage systems (especially BESS).
  • Proven experience in creation of analytical platforms in close collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with software development best practices.

This role is not a fit if...

  • You are mainly experienced with no-code BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) without strong coding skills.
  • You are not passionate about energy markets and their complexities.
  • You are uncomfortable working with ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and evolving priorities.
  • Competitive Compensation Package: Including salary and benefits.
  • Professional Development: Annual development budget of 3,000 € for coachings, trainings, books, etc.
  • Public Transportation Subsidy: Monthly subsidy to your public transport ticket.
  • Health & Sport Subsidy: Company subsidised sports facilities membership.
  • Lunch/Dinner Allowance Vouchers: Allowance for meals on working days as digital meal vouchers.
  • Work Equipment: MacBook or Windows Laptop and ergonomic workplace.

We look forward to your application and the opportunity to have you join our team in driving the energy transition forward.
