Qualifications

• Familiarity with venue/exchange connectivity and market data protocols (FIX, ITCH/OUCH, multicast).
• Track record delivering features end-to-end and operating what you build.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost and quality.

As a Staff Data Engineer, Market Data on the Institutional Markets team, you'll architect, build, and own the systems that generate, capture, normalize, and distribute real-time market data across Coinbase at low latency - the ticker plant and distribution backbone of a unified trading platform - while leading a lean, high-impact team. What you'll do

Pay Transparency Notice

Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$207,485 — $244,100 USD
