The role involves independent execution of assigned audit areas, delivering oral and written reports to management, and collaborating with external auditors while supporting the Assurance and Risk Management team. Flexible working arrangements are available.

The Staff Auditor holds primary responsibility for engaging in audit projects to assess the adequacy of internal controls, both in their design and application. Furthermore, the Staff Auditor is tasked with conducting and/or assisting in corporate investigations, ad-hoc special projects, external auditor assistance activities, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements. This role necessitates the completion of projects covering Alight’s global operations, with a moderate level of independence in executing assigned audit areas.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Staff Auditor include:

• Participating in operational, compliance and financial audits evaluating the adequacy of controls for key business processes. Included in this responsibility are:

  • Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of assigned areas under review, including processes, risks and controls, and is able to document the processes accurately and completely,
  • Completing audit test procedures, including maintaining appropriate testing documentation to support audit results,
  • Identifying potential audit findings, drawing conclusions, assessing audit results, developing recommendations and communicating them to Audit Project Manager,
  • Performing follow ups on remediation activities agreed with management resulting from audits/SOX controls testing, and
  • Ability to work independent and with initiative to complete audit assignments; might also have supervisory role in some assignments.

• Delivering oral and written presentations to management throughout and at the conclusion of the examination by discussing process and control deficiencies, recommending corrective actions and other suggestions for improvements in operations and/or reductions in costs.

• Providing assistance to external auditors during their interim and annual reviews of the company, as required.

• As a global resource, participating in assignments as needed by the broader Assurance and Risk Management department.
