Usercentrics is building a central data platform spanning Azure Synapse Analytics and PowerBI. We seek an Analytics Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team, partnering with product owners and analysts to deliver curated data, data models, and actionable visualizations.

You will help scale our analytics platform while exploring new data sources and technologies. The role emphasizes partnering with stakeholders, delivering data-ready insights, and contributing to a growing team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data warehouse / data integration using SQL.
• Experience with dimensional (star schema) modeling and data marts.
• Experience consuming data from REST APIs using Python or similar.
• Experience with event-based architecture and real-time web-tracking data.
• Experience with BI tools to communicate insights (PowerBI preferred).
• Nice to have: experience training and deploying ML models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.

We are looking for a self driven, communicative, curious, and analytical individual to join our Data & Analytics team as a Analytics Engineer. We work with cross functional teams to help solve complex business problems by connecting data from various data sources, integrating them into a central data platform and further curating them to create compelling visualizations.

You will be part of the Data Engineering function, whose main responsibility is to build and maintain a central data platform to serve other engineers, analysts and business users. Our data platform is built on Azure Synapse Analytics and uses PowerBI for visualizations. We integrate our backend data from various DB engines on Azure and GCP with external SaaS solutions such as Salesforce or Chargebee, as well as web-tracking data. The platform is still in its early stages and there is plenty of room for new ideas and further development, so exciting times ahead!

Your Tasks

• Partner with our business stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide curated data ready for analysis to answer strategic business questions across the organization that helps us become more data-driven
• Connect to internal and external data sources and integrate them into our data platform
• Design and manage dimensional data models and create adhering data transformations
• Support business users and analysts in understanding the data and creating visualizations
• Explore new technologies and data sources with proof-of-concept initiatives
• Contribute innovative and strategic ideas to help shape a brand new team and data platform, and continue to drive impact as we scale
• Develop expertise across business domains

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience with data warehouse / data integration solutions, primarily using SQL
• Experience with dimensional (star schema) modeling and ability to develop curated data marts
• Experience consuming data from REST APIs using Python or another language
• Experience with event-based architecture and real-time processing of web tracking data
• Experience with data visualization/BI tools such as PowerBI (preferred), Tableau, Looker, or Domo to communicate business insights using data
• Experience to train and deploy ML models is nice to have
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to identify and summarize roadblocks and constraints, propose potential solutions, and drive towards resolution
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience ideally in computer-science or a quantitative field (Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Quantitative, Physics, Engineering, etc.)
