Jobbeschreibung

At AWS, we're looking for a Developer Advocate to shape the future of software development and AI in the DACH region.

As a Senior DA on our Developer Experience team, you'll combine your software development expertise with your passion for building and nurturing developer communities across German-speaking countries. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence how the next generation of applications are built, with a strong focus on open source technologies, AI coding assistants, and agentic AI, while working alongside creators and innovators in this rapidly evolving space.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is deeply technical, has strong software development experience, and is passionate about open source. You understand the critical role that open source plays in modern software development, actively contribute to open source projects, and are excited to help developers in the DACH region leverage both open source and AWS technologies effectively.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive technical initiatives that showcase modern software development practices, emphasizing the integration of open source technologies with AWS services
  • Create and deliver compelling technical content in German and English through conference talks, workshops, and live coding sessions
  • Build and nurture developer communities across the DACH region, with a particular focus on professional developers and students
  • Develop and share best practices for building modern applications using open source technologies and cloud services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence product roadmaps based on DACH developer community feedback
  • Create regional content including code samples, architecture patterns, blog posts, and implementation guides
  • Engage with open source communities and maintain strong presence in regional developer networks
  • Work with local partners, educational institutions, and open source organizations to grow the next generation of developers
