OHB SE in Bremen is seeking a senior engineering leader to head a large team of experts responsible for the end-to-end design, manufacture and test of complex spacecrafts.

The role covers mechanical design, structure, thermal and propulsion analysis, acting as the architect of the subsystems and ensuring robust change management and interface coordination with suppliers and customers.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• Several years of experience are mandatory.
• System engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience in at least one technical domain (mechanical design, structure analysis, thermal or propulsion) is mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of satellite architectures is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Lead a large team of experts without disciplinary function to design, manufacture and test complex spacecrafts.
• Be responsible for mechanical design, structure analysis, thermal design and propulsion design as the architect of these subsystems.
• Report and control costs and schedule as an integral part of the work.
• Maintain direct communication with suppliers, the project team and the customer.
• Ensure configuration through consistent use of change management.
• Perform requirement flow-down to the subsystem specifications and write subsystem specifications.
• Manage the interdisciplinary interfaces between the subsystems within your domain and with other spacecraft subsystems.
• Support supplier and system-level reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, QAR) in a leading role.
• Support main project campaigns (EVT, Launch, LEOP) in a supporting role.

Your Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of satellite architectures is greatly beneficial for the position
