Zusammenfassung

Adtran is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Engineer (M/F/D) to join our Solutions Engineering team in Munich, Germany or Gdynia, Poland. You will provide expert knowledge of WDM to regional pre-sales teams and design optimized solutions that fit customer specifications.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or physics, plus experience with network providers or data centers.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science or physics.
• Experience with network providers, data centers, system integrators or telco equipment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Provide expert knowledge of WDM to regional pre-sales teams.
• Design optimized solutions fitting customer specifications and budgets.
• Complete and support the technical part of tender responses.
• Provide technical sales material to regional Solution Engineers and Sales Managers.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations.
• Train pre-sales personnel on products, solutions and tools.
• Offer market feedback to Business Development and Product Management.

Principle duties and essential functions

• Providing expert knowledge of WDM to the regional pre-sales teams
• Designing optimized solutions to fit customer specifications, taking both the technical and economical perspective into consideration
• Completing and supporting the technical part of tender responses
• Providing technical sales material on Adtran's solutions to regional Solution Engineers and Sales Managers
• Preparing and delivering customer presentations
• Training of pre-sales personnel on products, solutions and tools
• Feedback on market trends to Business Development and Product Line Management

Knowledge, skills and experience required

• Degree, or equivalent, in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science or physics
• Working experience in the area of network providers, data centers, system integrators or telco / router equipment manufacturers
• Advanced Knowledge of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM)
• Strong ability to work to given deadlines with short response times
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to take fast, autonomous decisions and work on own initiative
• Excellent team worker
• Flexibility to travel worldwide
• Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken), additional languages are beneficial
• A working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
