Job summary

Jungheinrich AG sucht in München einen Solution Specialist (d/f/m) zur Qualifizierung von Automatisierungslösungen durch datengetriebene Simulationen, Layout-Planung und technische Integration. Sie verbinden digitale Modelle mit realen Shopfloor-Anforderungen, validieren Materialflüsse und identifizieren Engpässe vor der Implementierung.

Sie arbeiten eng mit Vertrieb, Produktmanagement und Softwareentwicklung, etablieren Standards für Layout, Transportprozesse und Simulation und unterstützen

Qualifications

• Erfahrung in Industrial Engineering oder Logistik-Planung, ideal im Automationsumfeld.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in Simulationssoftware, Layoutplanung und AMR/AGV-Simulatoren.
• Grundlagen in Data Science bzw. maschinellem Lernen für predictive analytics.
• Verständnis von IT-Systemarchitektur sowie Kommunikationsprotokollen (MQTT/OPC-UA).
• Fähigkeit, komplexe Kundenanforderungen in klare technische Empfehlungen zu übersetzen.

Responsibilities

• Durchführung von Simulationen zur Modellierung von Materialflüssen und Engpässen.
• Integrieren von AMR/AGV-Simulationen in Prozessmodelle zur Durchsatzbewertung.
• Planung und Validierung von Systemlayouts mit CAD-Tools und Simulationssoftware.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Sales, Product Management & Software Engineering zur Optimierung der Lösung.

Deine Aufgaben

As aSolution Specialist (d/f/m), you will play a key role in qualifying automation solutions through data-driven simulations, detailed layout planning, and technical integration. You will bridge the gap between digital simulations and real-world shopfloor operations, helping validate material flows, predict system throughput, and identify potential bottlenecks before implementation.

Working closely with Sales, Product Management, and Software Engineering teams, you will help establish standardized practices for layout planning, transport processes, and simulation. Your work will support informed customer decisions and ensure our proposed automation solutions are technically feasible, efficient, and aligned with real-world operational requirements.

Your Tasks

• Design and execute simulations to model material flows, identify bottlenecks, and validate system performance during project qualification

• Integrate AMR/AGV vehicle simulators into process models to evaluate traffic management and predict system throughput

• Plan and validate system layouts using CAD-based tools and simulation software to align digital models with real-world shopfloor conditions

• Connect software systems and physical hardware using industrial communication protocols such as MQTT and OPC-UA, including I/O signal integration

• Develop low-code prototypes using Node-RED or similar tools to configure peripherals, implement logic, and connect data flows

• Analyze customer logistics data using data science and machine learning techniques to improve predictive modeling and performance assessments

• Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, and other teams to align simulation logic with system architecture and improve technical solutions

• Develop and improve the Sales Enablement tech stack, document simulation results clearly, and provide data-driven recommendations to support customer decisions

Dein Profil

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Planning, Systems Engineering, or Systems Integration, ideally within robotics or industrial automation

• Hands-on experience with simulation software, CAD-based layout planning, and AMR/AGV vehicle simulators

• Experience with low-code environments such as Node-RED and a solid foundation in data science or machine learning

• Understanding of industrial communication protocols, including MQTT and OPC-UA, and hardware interfacing through I/O signals

• Knowledge of IT system architecture and design principles for intralogistics solutions

• Familiarity with fleet management systems and communication standards for autonomous mobile robots, such as VDA 5050

• Analytical and structured, with the ability to translate complex customer data into clear, visual, and actionable recommendations

• A strong communicator who can explain technical findings and facilitate discussions with different stakeholders

• Organized and detail-oriented, with strong coordination and problem-solving skills

• Proactive and accountable, taking ownership of tasks and driving continuous improvement

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity while helping teams maintain focus and alignment

• Motivated to bridge simulation, software, and physical automation to deliver practical customer value
