Zusammenfassung

John Charles Search is partnering with a rapidly growing global provider of warehouse automation, robotics and intelligent supply-chain software to appoint a Software Solutions Consultant. The role blends software engineering knowledge, solution design and commercial awareness to shape software solutions for complex automation projects.

You will work with customers and internal teams across product, R&D, solutions engineering and delivery, contributing to BRDs, FDSs and high-level architectures

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS or similar.
• Around 2–3 years’ experience in software consulting, solutions engineering, software engineering, operations research or a related role.
• Exposure to enterprise software, supply chain, logistics, warehouse automation, integrated systems or technical solution design.

Aufgaben

• Design scalable software solutions for warehouse-automation and intralogistics projects.
• Gather customer requirements and produce clear BRDs.
• Own FDSs during the solution-definition stage.
• Define high-level software architecture, capacity, configuration and integration requirements.
• Support responses to RFPs, RFIs and customer tenders, owning the software and technical content.
• Scope implementation effort, timelines, resources and third-party integration requirements.
• Work across WMS, WCS, WES, business intelligence, HMI and automation-control environments.
• Collaborate with product, R&D, procurement, project delivery and global solutions teams.
• Analyze operational data to support solution design, performance improvements and customer value.
• Help establish continuous-improvement processes and metrics for software products and services.
• Manage customer expectations, negotiate solution scope and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
• Support software-development activity through to delivery, testing and final solution quality.

I am working exclusively with a rapidly growing global provider of warehouse automation, robotics and intelligent supply-chain software to appoint a Software Solutions Consultant.

This is a customer-facing role for someone who can combine software engineering knowledge, solution design and commercial awareness. You will help shape software solutions for complex automation projects, working closely with customers and internal teams across product, R&D, solutions engineering and delivery.

Compensation

• Base salary of up to €78,000
• Quarterly performance bonus
• Annual bonus
• Total on-target earnings of up to €110,000

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable software solutions for warehouse-automation and intralogistics projects.
• Gather customer requirements and produce clear Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
• Own Functional Design Specifications (FDSs) during the solution-definition stage.
• Define high-level software architecture, capacity, configuration and integration requirements.
• Support responses to RFPs, RFIs and customer tenders, owning the software and technical content.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, MIS or similar.
• Around 2–3 years’ experience in software consulting, solutions engineering, software engineering, operations research or a related role.
• Exposure to enterprise software, supply chain, logistics, warehouse automation, integrated systems or technical solution design.
• Knowledge of WMS, WCS, warehouse execution systems, software integrations or automation platforms is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Chinese language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, international and cross-functional environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
