Zusammenfassung

Kardex Group is seeking a software project manager to lead projects within the Warehouse Execution Systems environment from inception to go-live at customer sites. You will act as the interface between customers, internal stakeholders and software development teams.

The role prefers a CS/Software Engineering degree and initial PM experience on customer projects, with exposure to industrial or logistics contexts.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Initial practical IT/software PM experience.
• Experience in industrial, automation or logistics environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with WES/WCS/WMS systems is beneficial.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
• Strong communication in German and English is required.

• Ensure successful project delivery with regard to quality, timelines and customer satisfaction.
• Review and maintain key project documentation such as Functional, IT and Interface Specifications.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the development of standards, best practices and scalable solutions across Kardex.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead software projects within the Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) environment from project initiation through to successful go-live at customer sites.
• Act as the key interface between customers, internal stakeholders and software development teams.
• Analyse customer requirements, provide consultancy on suitable solutions, and translate business needs into practical system concepts.
• Ensure successful project delivery with regard to quality, timelines and customer satisfaction.
• Review, coordinate and maintain key project documentation, including:
• Functional Specifications
• IT Specifications
• Interface Specifications
• Identify opportunities for optimisation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the development of standards, best practices and scalable solutions across Kardex.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Initial practical experience in IT or software project management, ideally gained in projects delivered and implemented for customers.
• Experience within industrial, automation or logistics environments would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with warehouse management solutions such as WES, WCS or WMS would be beneficial.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
• Basic understanding of software development methodologies and system integration concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured approach to work.
• High levels of motivation, curiosity and a genuine desire to learn and develop professionally.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in both German and English.
• Approximately 10% travel within Europe in connection with customer projects.
• Based within reasonable travelling distance of one of our German Kardex locations, or willing to travel regularly to these sites.
