Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH is seeking a software engineer for system metrology software in the semiconductor field. You will design, develop and enhance software for high-precision measurement systems, interfacing hardware and software, and supporting integration and commissioning.

The role requires degree in engineering or CS, experience with hardware interfaces and C#, working with Windows, Visual Studio, Git and Azure DevOps. Strong German and English communication and teamwork are essential.

Your Profile

• A degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary software projects involving technically complex hardware and software systems
• Strong communication skills in German and English, combined with excellent teamwork skills, assertiveness and the ability to maintain an overview in complex situations
• Experience in directly interfacing with and controlling hardware components via TCP/IP, RS-232 and bus systems
• Experience in C# development for controlling workflows and processes of industrial machinery using Windows-based PCs
• Strong affinity for hardware and a solid understanding of hardware-software interaction
• Knowledge of fieldbus systems and OPC UA
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git and Azure DevOps
