ZEISS Group in Germany is seeking an ambitious optical metrology specialist to join our advanced research team. The role focuses on developing high-precision measurement systems for qualification of DUV and EUV optics in collaboration with internal and external project partners.

You will contribute to interferometric and spectroscopic measurement methods, calibration practices, and data analysis pipelines, and you should bring strong Python programming skills, teamwork, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in a scientific or technical discipline (physics, optical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics) or comparable field.
• Knowledge of optical metrology, especially interferometric or spectroscopic methods.
• Understanding of measurement algorithm development, calibration methods, error budgets, and data analysis.
• Experience with optical setups and alignment; strong programming skills in Python.

Your Profile

You Have

• An excellent Master's degree in a scientific or technical discipline such as physics, technical optics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field; a PhD would be an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of optical metrology, particularly interferometric or spectroscopic measurement methods
• A deep understanding of measurement algorithm development, calibration methods, error budgets, data analysis and data processing
• Practical experience in working with optical setups and their alignment
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python
• Excellent teamwork skills, a confident and professional manner and strong communication skills
• Experience in project work would be an advantage
• A high level of self-motivation and commitment, combined with a strong interest in thinking beyond established approaches and driving topics forward
