Job summary

Heidelberg Engineering is seeking a software engineer in Lübeck to design and implement hardware-oriented software for complex imaging systems. You will develop APIs, modules, and automated tests, collaborating in an interdisciplinary team within a regulated medical technology environment.

You should have a degree in a relevant field and at least five years of C/C++ experience, plus practical Windows and Linux development with Git.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, physics or a comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of solid professional experience in software development with very good knowledge of C/C++.
• Experience in development in Windows and Linux environments, and proficiency with Git.

Responsibilities

• Development & Architecture: design and implement hardware-related software solutions in medical technology.
• Module Integration: implement, integrate, and document cross-product software modules.
• Quality Assurance: develop automated test concepts and interfaces to ensure high quality standards.
• Lifecycle Management: continuously further develop and maintain existing product software.
• Hands-on: perform hardware-oriented evaluation and direct troubleshooting on the system.

Your responsibilities

• Development & Architecture: Design and implementation of hardware-related software solutions in the demanding, highly regulated medical technology sector.
