Job summary

Kranus Health is building digital therapeutics for urology and gynecology. We’re seeking a software engineer who loves turning problems into features, uses AI coding tools, and helps ship across mobile, backend and web. One platform powers all our therapies, so what you ship scales across every product.

Our small engineering team works across mobile, backend, and web. You'll own features end to end and work closely with product, medical and regulatory colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Flutter/Dart or another mobile development stack.
  • Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, or similar backend frameworks.
  • SQL and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
  • React and TypeScript for our web applications.
  • CI/CD, containers, observability, or supporting software in production.

Responsibilities

  • Build features across our mobile applications and backend services, from patient-facing screens to APIs and data models.
  • Take scoped features from understanding the problem through implementation, testing, and release, with support from the team.
  • Work with coding agents every day. We use an AI-assisted approach to engineering, and every pull request gets an AI-assisted review alongside a human review. You review, test, and take responsibility for what you ship.
  • Investigate bugs across the app and backend, understand their causes, and implement reliable fixes.

Job description

Job description

Kranus Health builds digital therapeutics for urology and gynecology. Our therapies are developed with clinicians, prescribed by doctors, and reimbursed by health insurers. As regulated medical software, everything you build reaches patients with a real diagnosis.

We're looking for a software engineer who enjoys turning problems into working features, uses AI coding tools actively, and wants to contribute across the full stack. You'll build the apps and services behind our therapies, from patient-facing screens to the backend. One platform powers all our therapies, so what you ship scales across every product. Our small engineering team works across mobile, backend, and web. You'll own features end to end and work closely with product, medical and regulatory colleagues.

What you'll do
  • Build features across our mobile applications and backend services, from patient-facing screens to APIs and data models.
What matters to us
  • Strong engineering fundamentals. You've built and shipped software in at least one area: mobile, frontend, or backend. You can read unfamiliar code, reason about its behaviour, and explain the trade-offs behind your decisions. Graduate or senior, this counts far more than years of experience.
  • Full-stack mindset. You're willing to work across mobile, backend, and web, and comfortable being a beginner again in parts of the stack you don't know yet.
  • AI-native engineering. Coding agents are part of your daily workflow. You give them the right context, break work into reviewable steps, and can explain and maintain every line you ship.
  • Code quality. You care about readable, maintainable code and treat tests as part of the feature, not an afterthought. You think through edge cases, verify the full flow end to end, and leave the codebase better than you found it.
  • Systematic troubleshooting. You reproduce first and fix root causes, not symptoms. You work from evidence like logs, stack traces, debugger output, API responses, and database queries. You also don't panic when something breaks in production.
  • Ownership and collaboration. You clarify requirements before building, flag blockers early, and follow through. In code reviews you both give and take feedback, and you change course when there's a better solution.
Helpful experience
  • Flutter/Dart or another mobile development stack.
  • Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, or similar backend frameworks.
  • SQL and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
  • React and TypeScript for our web applications.
  • CI/CD, containers, observability, or supporting software in production.
