Strativ Group in Konstanz, Germany is seeking a software engineer to join a defense tech startup building unmanned devices. The role covers full-stack, desktop, embedded, and hardware with ownership of internal tools and fresh ideas.

The position is onsite up to five days a week at the Konstanz office. Salary up to €90,000 per year with equity options; candidates should be passionate about software and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a diverse portfolio of software tools and dashboards for internal use.
• Develop robust flashing and diagnostic tools for reliability for engineers and end users.
• Maintain high UI/UX standards so tools are intuitive for operators and engineers.
• Build infrastructure for internal development workflows: CLI tools, scripts, and build/flash systems.
• Architect solutions bridging frontend interfaces with low-level system interactions.

Job description

Software engineer is required to join a defense technology startup based in Kontsanz/Constance, Germany. The company build unmanned devices (ie drones etc) that are used by organizations such as the military, emergency services etc. They are looking for a software engineer who can work across a broad spectrum and who likes to take ownership of their own projects and bring fresh ideas to the table.

The role will be focused around building internal tools that power the building of the devices and the wider development structure. The role will cover the full stack and touch upon desktop, embedded and hardware. They aren’t looking for someone who is an expert in every area but someone who intuitively understands software and is genuinely passionate about it.

The role pays up to €90,000 euros per annum with equity options and requires up to 5 days a week onsite with the office being based in Konstanz/Constance, Germany.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a diverse portfolio of software tools, including web-based management dashboards, client applications, and specialized utility software.
• Develop robust, user-friendly flashing and diagnostic tools that ensure reliability for both internal engineering teams and external end-users.
• Maintain high standards for UI/UX, ensuring that complex technical tools remain intuitive and accessible to operators and engineers alike. Tooling, Infrastructure & Ecosystem
• Build the infrastructure that powers our internal development workflows—creating CLI tools, automation scripts, and build/flashing systems.
• Architect solutions that bridge the gap between frontend interfaces and low-level system interactions.
