Job summary

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) is seeking a Software Developer for Test and Simulation Framework Engineers to join on‑site teams in Germany, located in Manching and other sites. The role focuses on software design and development for TSF in ADA and C++, avionics simulations for MaTE DTVR, and automated tests within a real/hardware mixed environment.

The ideal candidate will have an electronics/engineering degree, hands-on embedded C/C++ experience, C1 English, and European citizenship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, Industrial, or similar.
• Hands-on experience in embedded software in C/C++.
• C1 English level is mandatory.
• German C1 is a plus.
• Applicants must hold citizenship of a European country.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for the test and simulation framework (TSF) in ADA and C++.
• Develop Avionic Simulations for the desktop virtual rig environment (MaTE DTVR).
• Design and development of automated developer tests (unit/module tests) and conduct code reviews.
• Contribute to virtual engineering in a mixed environment of simulations and real hardware.
• 2nd level rig support for the test and simulation framework (DTVR).
• Customer support in application development and system testing.
• Support software teams on concepts and technologies.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop software for our test and simulation framework (TSF) in ADA and C++
• Development of Avionic Simulations for our desktop virtual rig environment (MaTE DTVR)

• Contribute actively to virtual engineering (mixed environment of simulations and real Hardware)

What We’re Looking For
