Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a licensed Clinical Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient-centered care. The role provides social work assessments, counseling, goal planning and coordination of care with families and care teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in social work (CSWE approved), can obtain licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and will navigate psychosocial needs across age groups to support treatment and recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE approved school.
• Eligibility for a future license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida; must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
• Must have active status: Provisional FL license or Registered Clinical Social Work Intern.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical social work services for patients, families and significant others, including assessments, counseling, goal setting, advocacy, and care plan implementation.
• Makes referrals to outside agencies and coordinates continuity of care with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Advices on psychosocial impact of disease across ages and stages, seeking mentorship for professional growth and representing the Cancer Center’s mission.

Summary

Provides clinical social work services for and in partnership with patients, families, and significant others. These include social work assessments, counseling, goal setting, advocacy, concrete service provision and implementation of care plans.

Makes referrals to outside agencies and assists in coordination of continuity of care. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Social worker shall be highly knowledgeable about the psychosocial impact of disease on individuals and families as it relates to their age and stage of development. Social Worker will seek mentorship as needed for professional growth and development. The Social Worker represents and supports the mission, philosophy and goals of the Cancer Center.

Minimum Required Credentials:

• Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE approved school
• Must have one of the following in active status: *Provisional FL license or Registered Clinical SW Intern
• Eligibility for future licensure in the State of FL as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required. Mushold a currently active licensure in one of the following: Registered with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work as an intern or become registered within 3 months of hire.

Salary Range

$36.25 - $36.25

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
