Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is seeking a Social Media Manager to join External Communications near Munich. You will manage editorial content across defence, space, and security topics, and expand the company's presence on social media while coordinating with top management and external partners.

You will work in a diverse, international environment, developing content for multiple channels and building relationships with creators across home nations. Travel may be required.

Qualifikationen

A vacancy for a Digital Communications Manager (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus in Taufkirchen/München. The successful applicant will join the team of External Communications within Airbus Defence and Space.

Job Profile and Department description

The job holder is part of a team which is responsible to define priorities and implement communications plans for external audiences by animating the Company's corporate external channels (media, web, social media).

The External Communications department engages with external audiences by adapting content to external channels’ (media relations, web, social) requirements, defines and implements the group’s external communications strategy, orchestrates external media relations and provides audience- and business-related performance indicators to the divisions for continuous content planning and improvement. It contributes to the promotion and protection of the Airbus brand and to the external positioning of its products, services, people and top management.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Contribute to digital communications editorial content with the focus on all relevant divisional defence, space and security topics
• Participate to enhancing visibility and impact of Airbus communications and contents via digital channels (mainly social media)
• Support Social Media positioning of the Airbus Defence and Space CEO as well as other divisional top management members
• Ability to manage production (e.g. content/photo/video/infographics) and publish on any defined channel (internal and external)
• Build and implement new proposals based on trends
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, subcontractors and transversal remote teams
• Promote better branded storytelling and ensure consistent editorial voice
• Develop and implement dedicated content for special campaigns on social media
• Manage social media campaigns in close cooperation with the Communications Business Partners
• Manages the related social media channels
• Working closely with the Programme Lines (all, but with a particular focus on digital transformation, unmanned aerial systems or security topics) and the responsible Communications Business Partners.
• Build-up and management of creator relationships across our home nations
• This role will involve frequent travel for business (under non-pandemic conditions) and as such you should be willing to travel.

Desired skills and qualifications

• You are educated to a degree level in Communications, (Digital) Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent
• You have a background in digital communications and marketing as well as a proven track-record in managing and working with social media tools and channels (HootSuite, TalkWalker, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
• You already gained some experience in audience insights (research, target audience definition, end user experience analysis, customer journeys) and creator management
• You are used to working with benchmarks and watches for trends and best practice to identify valuable opportunities
• You have (profound) knowledge of digital strategy and related topics
• You are able to create content for different communication channels (not limited to social media but expertise in web management would also be appreciated)
• You are a proficient user of digital tools and platforms
• Your workstyle is characterized by your positive, energetic, adaptable and multi-tasking attitude and your out of the box thinking
• You are a strong team player, engaged and like to work in collaborative and international environment
• You have good communication skills and know how to communicate towards different stakeholders and across all levels of hierarchy
• You speak German and English on negotiation level and it is a plus, if you speak French and/or Spanish as well
