Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Side Supervisor (m/f/d) for main components with on-site leadership across Germany. You will oversee service teams, coordinate with external providers, and ensure safe, efficient turbine maintenance. A strong electrical/mechanical background and hands-on experience are essential.

Travel during the workweek is required; home weekends. Company car provided; extensive training, 30 days vacation, and opportunities for growth at the Vestas Academy are included.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
• Hands-on professional experience in a related field.
• Ability to document technical reports independently.
• Familiar with Microsoft and iOS apps; SAP experience is a plus.
• Driving license B and strong communication with good English and German.

Responsibilities

• Deploy across Germany during the work week, providing on-site technical leadership with service teams.
• Replace and repair major wind turbine components and support on-site work.
• Ensure smooth on-site operations and coordinate with external service providers and large cranes.
• Document work and site activities digitally and optimize workflows for efficiency.
• Organize external service providers and plan route studies.

Your responsibilities –here'swhere you can get involved!

• During the working week, you will be deployed across Germany, working alongside service teams of around seven technicians – while taking on on-site technical leadership
• Together with your team, you will be responsible for the replacement and repair of major components on wind turbines and actively support the work on-site
• You ensure smooth operations on site and coordinate the collaboration with external service providers, such as telescopic mobile crane and transport companies
• You document your work as well as site activities digitally
• You optimize workflows to increase efficiency
• You organize external service providers and large cranes and implement route studies

• You are willing to travel within Germany during the week; you will be back home at the weekend
• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering
• You have relevant hands-on professional experience
• You can prepare and document technical reports independently
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP
• You are comfortable working at heights and canoperatesafely above ground level
• You have a driving license B
• You have strong communication skills and good assertiveness
• Very goodGerman and good English skills round off your profile
