On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer for a 6 month contract based in London (3 days per week) / Remote (Hybrid).

Purpose of the role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and enhance critical Fixed Income trading platforms. You will be responsible for improving the reliability, performance, scalability, and observability of business-critical trading systems.

Working closely with Traders, Developers, and Infrastructure teams, you will drive automation, modern observability practices, and operational excellence across the platform.

What you’ll do:

• Help design, deploy, and maintain observability solutions using OpenTelemetry and/or OpenSearch.
• Build and improve monitoring, alerting, tracing, and logging capabilities.
• Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort, risk, and operational overhead.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Improve system reliability, resilience, and performance through engineering-led solutions.
• Support change, incident, and problem management processes while maintaining clear documentation.

The skills you’ll need:

• Proven experience inSite Reliability Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry deployments and modern observability platforms.
• Strong knowledge of OpenSearch, Grafana, Geneos, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Excellent scripting and automation skills (Python, Shell, or similar).
• Experience supporting real-time or trading platforms is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
