Zusammenfassung

Solaris SE in Berlin seeks an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to design monitoring standards, implement SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, and champion reliability best practices. You will drive resilient systems, automate operations, and craft dashboards, while coordinating cross-team initiatives in a high-growth environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering in high-growth environments.
• Programming experience in Python, Ruby, Java, or Go.
• Expertise in Service Discovery / Service Mesh to manage microservice communications.
• Experience analyzing capacity requirements and preventing exhaustion before impact on SLOs.
• Designing systems that failover across data centers automatically.
• Experience with Chaos testing tools (Chaos Mesh, Gremlin).
• Infrastructure design focusing on limiting blast radius of failures.
• Ability to break down architectural goals into deliverable tasks.
• Evaluate third-party tools and act as technical contact.
• Experience rolling out platform changes across the organization.
• Understanding challenges of the financial sector.
• Experience in 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Business English proficiency; German a plus.
• Curious, proactive, structured, and agile.

Your Role

• Responsible for the design of monitoring and alerting standards.
• Create frameworks that implement key concepts like SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
• Champion standards for incident response and reliability best practices.
• Design processes that improve resilience and reduce technical complexity.
• Implement software and tooling to improve resilience and automate operations.Create generic service and product specific monitoring dashboards.

We'd love to see

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
• You have spent 6+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering roles in a high-growth environment.
• Programming experience in Python, Ruby, Java, or Go.
• Expertise in Service Discovery / Service Mesh to manage microservice communications.
• Experience in the analysis of capacity requirements and address exhaustion before it impacts SLOs.
• Designing systems that automatically failover across different data centers.
• Expertise in tools like Chaos Mesh or Gremlin to proactively test system weaknesses.
• Designing infrastructure with a focus to limit the blast radius of any single failure.
• Break down high-level architectural goals into small, deliverable tasks.
• Evaluate third-party tools and act as technical point of contact.
• Safely rolling out significant platform changes across the entire organization.
• Understand the unique challenges of the financial sector.
• Experience in the participation of a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Business proficient English (written and verbal). German language is a plus.
• Curious self-starter who combines openness and creativity with a structured, hands-on mentality.
