Zusammenfassung

Solactive AG is seeking a seasoned SRE/Platform Engineer to design, scale, and operate our on‑premise infrastructure. You will own automation tasks, manage storage and monitoring stacks, and ensure high availability of production systems within a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in SRE roles, strong Kubernetes expertise, and hands-on experience with Proxmox, OpenStack, Ceph, and Terraform. English fluency is essential; German is a plus.

Job Overview

Are you passionate about designing and scaling reliable infrastructure? At Solactive, you will join our Tech Platform Operations team tackling big data, real-time computation, and high availability challenges. If you thrive on automation, ownership, and problem-solving, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Tasks

• Supporting, maintaining and developing our on-premise environment
• Executing daily operations to keep production systems running efficiently
• Scripting and developing automation in Python
• Developing and maintaining configuration management solutions & task schedulers
• Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Maintaining documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs

Your Profile

• An open mind and creative approach to problem solving with open source-based solutions
• 5+ years of experience as an SRE or Platform Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with self-hosted Kubernetes clusters
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with storage technologies such as Ceph (Block storage, S3) and ZFS
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance analysis of systems and applications (e.g. InfluxDB, LGTM Stack, ELK Stack)
• Deep knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Solid understanding in networking and routing technologies like BGP (Fortigate is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with virtualization environments such as Proxmox and OpenStack
• Hands-on experience in cloud technologies is a plus
• Fluent in English; German Language is a plus
