Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), a subsidiary of Hitachi Zosen Corporation, is a leading global provider of integrated solutions for the energy transition and circular economy, with a focus on energy from waste (EfW) and renewable gas (RG). It is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. HZI acts as a project developer, technology provider and contractor for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of turnkey plants and system solutions for the thermal and biological treatment of waste, gas treatment and power-to-gas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ). Lead and encourage HZI and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements.
- Ensure safety and HSE performance of all personnel, stopping work when necessary, and coordinate daily management of service activities on site.
- Manage and support engineers and project managers in delivering services on site, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
- Prepare site progress reports, review supplier reports for accuracy, and ensure proper scope execution prior to submission to the Project Manager.
- Control working hours, project quality, and identify delays with proposals for corrective actions.
- Maintain all site records and ensure work is carried out within scope, time, and budget.
- Manage supervisory functions within the project team and review project progress regularly.
- Progress change requests related to technical, time, and cost aspects.
- Have experience managing site teams and service activities like maintenance, overhaul, and inspection.
- Knowledge of welding and related quality requirements is advantageous.
- Possess leadership experience in HSEQ management, with knowledge of relevant legislation and systems.
- Hold certifications such as Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent, and Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass, CSCS, or CCNSG card.
- Be proficient with Microsoft applications and familiar with ERP systems.
- Exhibit good communication, teamwork, motivational, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel within Central Europe.
