Autohero is seeking a Site Manager to lead its new Production Center in Hemau, coordinating between repair teams, external partners, and Berlin HQ to ensure high-quality reconditioning and efficient operations.

The role emphasizes lean processes, scalable capacity, and a strong continuous improvement culture. You will onboard and train teams and align targets with HQ to support Autohero’s growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in automotive, production, or manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading large teams (80+ staff).
• University degree in business or supply chain.
• Experience scaling ramp-up operations.
• Strong communication in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a production center of 200+ employees, ensuring lean, professional operations.
• Plan and run day-to-day operations for best-in-class car quality and cost efficiency.
• Scale up production capacity from scratch to meet growth.
• Build and manage relationships with local partners.

As the Site Manager of our new Production Center in Hemau, you are responsible for the reconditioning process at the Production Center. You are the key connector between our different repair teams (mechanics, bodywork, …), external partners, and our logistics network and are in close contact with your colleagues at the headquarters in Berlin.

Job Description

Your new role

• Lead a production center of more than 200 employees in the most professional and most lean way
• Plan and run the day‑to‑day operations at the production center to achieve best‑in‑class car quality and output optimization while staying cost efficient
• Scale up production capacities from scratch to the desired max. capacity in order to keep up with our growth
• Build up, manage and improve relationships within our local network of partners
• Align on targets and resources directly with Berlin HQ and be responsible for process implementation on site incl. building strong teams by providing the proper onboarding and training
• Take concrete measures to improve performance and ensure a strong continuous improvement culture among our teams on site

Qualifications

Your skills

• 8+ years experience within the automotive industry or a production or manufacturing environment
• Absolute superb team management skills, previous experience leading and managing a large team of minimum 80 people (directly and indirectly)
• University degree in business, supply chain management or similar
• Experience in rapidly scaling businesses or demonstrated success in a leading position within a ramp‑up operation is an advantage
• Previous track record of optimizing processes and achieving efficiencies by leveraging production, logistics, or shop floor operations
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
