Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Site HSE Supervisor to coordinate and supervise construction HSE activities for German projects, including onshore and offshore work where applicable. You will ensure compliance with Prysmian HSE MS, client and contractual requirements, and support risk management efforts on site.

Responsibilities include coordinating site activities, conducting audits, delivering safety training, and collecting KPIs.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Site HSE Management experience in German EPCI environments, including onshore/offshore.
  • SigeKo certificate to cover Safety and Health Coordination responsibilities.
  • FaSi certificate as occupational safety specialist.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; lead auditor qualification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • High PC literacy with ability to manage reports and data.
  • Proficient in German and English at C1 level or higher.
  • Driver license and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Experience in international/multicultural environments.
  • Familiarity with HAZID methodology and ISM Code familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site activities, ensuring compliance with Project HSE Plan and German regulations.
  • Support in defining cable installation requirements as part of HSE oversight.
  • Ensure all HSE activities at construction sites comply with laws and Prysmian MS requirements.
  • Assist Project HSE Managers in Risk Management, including HAZID activities.
  • Facilitate accident/incident investigations and trend analysis at site level.
  • Conduct internal and external HSE audits on subcontractors.
  • Develop and deliver project safety training and inductions for site personnel and suppliers.
  • Monitor effectiveness of HSE Plans and propose improvements.
  • Perform site HSE inspections and produce follow-up reports.
  • Collect Safety Observation Cards and HSE KPIs for German Projects.
  • Ensure proper waste management, segregation, collection and reporting.

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success: The Site HSE Supervisor is responsible to coordinate and supervise construction HSE activities within German projects, related to onshore and offshore installation (if applicable), ensuring compliance with Prysmian HSE MS, Client and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Prysmian and subcontractors’ site activities, ensuring compliance with Project HSE Plan, SiGePlan and German regulatory framework requirements, related to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Support in defining cable installation requirements.
  • Ensure that all HSE activities at construction site(s) are carried on in accordance with the German applicable laws and regulations, client requirements and Prysmian HSE MS related to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Assist Project HSE Managers in Risk Management process (i.e. Design and Detailed HAZID).
  • Facilitate accidents/incidents investigation and carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans at site level.
  • Conduct HSE audits both internal and external on subcontractors involved in project activities (prequalification and project phases).
  • Develop and perform project safety training / induction and contribute to the implementation at site level of Prysmian safety behavioural initiatives, also including suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor, evaluate and analyse the effectiveness of the HSE Plans and propose improvement actions.
  • Perform Site HSE inspections and create the related reports, ensuring a follow-up of the outcome.
  • Collect all Safety Observation Cards.
  • Collect all the required HSE KPIs for German Projects.
  • Ensure the proper waste management, including segregation, collection, and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Having the purpose of reinforcing the HSE team, we are open to evaluate profiles with different seniority, having at least 3 years of Site HSE Management experience, within German EPCI work environment, including Onshore and Offshore Construction and Installation activities Technical Degree (engineering).
  • SigeKo certificate ("Sicherheits- und Gesundheitsschutzkoordinator" - To cover the role of Safety and Health Protection Coordinator, if needed).
  • FaSi certificate- "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" - occupational safety specialist.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 series standard; Be qualified as lead auditor will be a plus.
  • Strong leadership, team player. People management/influencing and organizational skills.
  • High PC literacy.
  • Proficient in German and English skills: C1 or higher.
  • Driver license.
  • Used to work in international and multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with HAZID methodology.
  • Familiarity with the International Maritime Organization ISM Code (International Safety Management Code) will be a plus.
