• Exposure to ISO 15189 and operations excellence.
• Publication/presentation record demonstrating scientific excellence.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Client-focused approach.
• Proficiency with information systems, spreadsheets, word processing and email.
• Willingness to travel overnight; up to 15% travel; international travel may be required.

Jobbeschreibung

The Head of the Berlin Lab will provide strategic laboratory operational and scientific leadership for all ongoing activities at this facility. In addition, you will work closely and collaboratively with functional/business leaders in Kitting, Biorepository and Quality, as well as SG&A functions, to support the execution of all laboratory and non-laboratory activities. The scope of this role will include growing and maintaining a world class laboratory, leading scientific engagement, managing, growing and allocating appropriate resources, including personnel and facilities, to achieve successful and timely completion of all projects, contracts, and objectives. The role will assume ultimate responsibility to ensure quality and compliance of the laboratory services which result in scientific excellence, high quality data and customer satisfaction; taking the lead to facilitating the resolution of business/client issues and challenges and driving business results.

Job Qualifications:

• PhD in life science/pharmacy/other health related discipline or business or equivalent experience
• Experience running a scientific laboratory in a service environment
• Ideally at least 20years+ experience in selected profession in life sciences, preferably Molecular biology.
• Ideally at least 12 years + experience as a functional manager
• Direct experience with managing a facility with multiple disciplines, such as scientific or biorepository team(s)
• Experience leading under ISO regulations such as 15189.
• Evidence of operations excellence, building efficiencies and revenue sustainability.
• Demonstrated scientific excellence, such as publication/presentation record
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Evidence of a client focused approach
• Experience using computerized information systems, electronic spreadsheets, word processing and electronic mail required.
• Ability to travel overnight. Up to 15% travel on average, based on regional requirements. International travel may be required
