A leading medical simulation company in Munich seeks a Simulation Application Engineer to support the development of key products and customer projects. The candidate should have experience in computational modeling and C++ software development, with responsibilities including customer service projects for cardiovascular implants and extending simulation frameworks. Qualifikationen

  • 1-3 years experience in Computational Modeling Simulation Fluid (CFD) and/or Solid Mechanics (FEM/FVM/particle methods).
  • 1-3 years experience in C++(17/20) and software development.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

  • Carry out customer service projects for cardiovascular implant manufacturers.
  • Develop medical simulation use cases for cardiovascular implants.
  • Extend C++ simulation framework with new functionality.

We are looking for a Simulation Application Engineer ready to take responsibility and support the development of one of our key products: simulation service & software. Our ideal candidate brings expertise in computational modeling & simulation and C++ software development. He/she is a result-oriented and energetic professional who likes to solve complex technical challenges. He/she is keen on carrying out customer service projects for cardiovascular implant manufacturers. He/she has a growth mindset (self and helping others), is optimistic, and has an intrinsic motivation. Our working language is English. German knowledge is not required.

Required skills:
  • 1-3 years experience in Computational Modeling Simulation Fluid (CFD) and/or Solid Mechanics (FEM/FVM/particle methods)
  • 1-3 years experience in C++(17/20), object-oriented programming, and software development
  • Fluent written and spoken English (German not required)
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent team player
  • (Nice-to-have) Experience with Simulation Verification & Validation
  • (Nice-to-have) Experience with Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Hydrodynamics (SPH)
Key responsibilities:
  • (Main focus) Carry out customer service projects for cardiovascular implant manufacturers
  • Develop medical simulation use cases: cardiovascular implant simulations
  • Extend our C++ Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics simulation framework with new functionality, such as boundary conditions
  • Act as project manager for customer simulation projects and/or development projects
  • Perform validation for use cases and customer service projects
  • (Optional) Perform verification activities on new features

You will help solve complex problems for major MedTech companies, and make simulations of their devices, that they believed impossible, possible. You will implement state-of-the-art algorithms and develop new methods that satisfy the quality required for medical purposes by regulatory bodies.
