Responsibilities

• Theon Sensors is seeking a highly motivated Shift Leader to join our team in Germany. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to achieve optimal performance. The Shift Leader will be responsible for the following:
• Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts.
• Assign duties to employees.
• Manage time-off requests and handle last-minute absences.
• Train and coach new employees.
• Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to management.
• Clean elements and parts using tissue, cleaning solutions, and air compressors.
• Insert and screw locking rings into housings to hold elements in place.
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference points and lay out stock for machining.
• Measure elements and instrument parts to verify dimensional specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Position and connect optical instruments to test devices, such as oscilloscopes and collimators.
• Perform testing and adjustment tasks.

Qualifications

• AEI/ATEI Degree in a technical field will be considered as a plus.
• Proven experience as a Shift Leader or in a relevant role.
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• Good knowledge of the night vision goggles assembly process, especially of Mikron.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and coordinate a team effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
• Basic understanding of optical instruments and their testing.
• Knowledge of German will be considered as a strong plus.
