Job summary

Ryanair Engineering Germany GmbH is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to join our Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) or Nürnberg Airport (NUE) teams. You will repair aircraft body structures, perform metal fabrication tasks, and follow approved maintenance data and procedures.

Applicants should have demonstrable sheet metal and structural repair experience, knowledge of technical drawings, and fluent English. A German contract and shift work are offered along with career opportunities within the

Responsibilities

Aircraft body structure and parts repair on Ryanair fleet aircraft according to maintenance data and procedures.
Perform metal assembling operations: cutting, filling, drilling, countersinking, fitting, shimmin,g, adjusting, clamping, bolting, reaming, riveting and bucking.
Operate bending machines, English Wheel, Flap Peening, Drill or Grinder as required.
Identify repair solutions and implement per Maintenance Repair Manuals.
Carry out any duties as directed by Shift Leader / Hangar Manager.

We are Ryanair Engineering Germany GmbH.

Based at Berlin Brandenburg Airport BER, we were founded in 2018 and are a 100% subsidiary of Ryanair.

The Irish airline group currently operates a fleet of 590 modern Boeing 737NG and MAX 10, Boeing 737-8200 Game Changer, and Airbus A320 aircrafts. We will continue to expand by more than 300 aircraft by 2030.

At Ryanair Engineering Germany, our engineers and mechanics are responsible for the maintenance of all Ryanair aircrafts in multiple stations all across Germany.

We are currently looking for aSheet Metal Worker to join us in Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) or Nürnberg Airport (NUE).

Role:

Aircraft body structure and parts repair on Ryanair fleet aircraft, in according with approved maintenance data and procedures
Performing metal assembling operations such as cutting, filling, drilling, countersinking, fitting, shimming, adjusting, clamping, bolting, reaming, riveting and bucking work.
Working with, amongst others, relevant equipment -Bending machines, English Wheel, Flap Peening, Drill or Grinder as usual working tools.
To find the most suitable repair solutions and implementation in according to the Maintenance Repair Manuals
Any other duties as requested by your Shift Leader / Hangar Manager

Requirements

Must hold demonstrable experience of Sheet Metal Work and Structural Repair
Previous maintenance experience on B737 is highly desirable.
Knowledge of technical drawing
Flexible approach to working in fast changing environment
Must be flexible, including availability to work overtime as and when required
Ability and willingness to train non-skilled personnel
Excellent communication skills – fluent English is essential
Good computer literacy
Willing to work shift
A valid EU/EEA passport with the unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union (VISA Support unavailable for this position)
A valid EU driver’s license
Preferably a valid German security clearance according to § 7 of German Aviation Security Act
