Atlas Copco in Germany seeks a Service Technician to maintain, repair and commission industrial compressors at customer sites. You will travel within your region and start from home, delivering hands-on service with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational qualification is required (e.g., Polymechanic, Mechatronics Technician or Automation Technician).
• Fluent German (C1/C2) is essential.
• Valid B driving license is required for service vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and servicing of industrial compressors and accessories.
• Performing repairs, overhauls, and refurbishments.
• Commissioning new machines.
• Participating in the on-call service organization (scheduled standby duty).
• Identifying customer needs and advising on service solutions, consumables, and equipment requirements.
• Documenting customer observations and forwarding information to relevant departments.

Your Role

As a Service Technician, you will carry out maintenance, repair, and commissioning work on compressors.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Maintenance and servicing of industrial compressors and accessories
• Performing repairs, overhauls, and refurbishments
• Commissioning new machines
• Participating in the on-call service organization (scheduled standby duty)
• Identifying additional customer needs and advising on suitable service solutions, consumables, and requirements for new equipment
• Documenting customer observations and forwarding relevant information to the appropriate departments

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need

• A technical vocational qualification (e.g., Polymechanic, Mechatronics Technician, Automation Technician, or similar)
• A valid Category B driving license for operating the service vehicle
• Confidence in using digital service and reporting tools, as well as standard Microsoft Office applications
• Ideally, experience in a repair environment and customer service
• Electrical knowledge is an advantage
• Very good knowledge in German (C1/C2)
• An open-minded, solution-oriented personality with a strong understanding of customer needs
