Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Service Technician (m/f/d) in Germany to perform on-site maintenance and diagnostics on wind turbines. The role involves teamwork, fault analysis, and implementing performance improvements in Bad Laasphe region.

You will work with modern wind energy technology, receive extensive onboarding, and have access to Vestas Academy training, with potential for a sabbatical and company pension.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, industrial mechatronics or energy/building technology.
• German and English language skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure wind turbines operate reliably by on-site servicing and maintenance.
• Work in a team to repair turbines and resolve faults.
• Analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and identify causes.
• Carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance.
• Document work digitally in a simple, efficient way.

Your responsibilities – here's where you can get involved!

• You ensure our wind turbines operate reliably by carrying out on-site servicing and maintenance
• Working as part of a team (at least two people), you repair turbines and resolve faults
• You analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and accurately identify the cause
• You carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance
• You document your work digitally in a simple and efficient way

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, industrial mechatronics or energy and building technology
• Your place of work will vary within your region – you will usually be home again in the evening
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level
• You have a valid Class B driver’s licence (financial support for Class BE may be available)
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile
