Job summary

SICK AG in Germany-wide field service is seeking a Service Technician - Identification Sensors to commission and test barcode, RFID and camera systems, troubleshoot issues and support customers on site.

You will travel regularly across Germany, deliver training, document service assignments in CRM, and collaborate with Technical Support and Sales to design efficient intralogistics and factory automation solutions.

Qualifications

• State-certified technician or master craftsman qualification in electrical engineering or comparable qualification.
• Experience in technical field service, ideally with knowledge of identification and machine vision technologies.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and data processing systems is an advantage.
• Confident use of MS Office and CRM systems.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong customer orientation, willingness to travel and excellent teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Commission our systems (barcode, RFID, cameras), test their functionality, and troubleshoot issues
• Contribute ideas to projects and help design efficient processes in intralogistics and factory automation
• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers on site and work with them as equals
• Deliver training sessions and ensure customers and colleagues can use the technology safely and confidently
• Document service assignments and maintain customer data in CRM systems
• Work closely with Technical Support and Sales
• Travel regularly throughout Germany, with an average of three overnight stays per week

YOUR TASKS:

YOUR PROFILE:

• State-certified technician or master craftsman qualification in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification; alternatively, vocational qualification with relevant professional experience
• Experience in technical field service, ideally with knowledge of identification and machine vision technologies
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and data processing systems is an advantage
• Confident use of MS Office and CRM systems
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Strong customer orientation, excellent organizational skills, and willingness to travel
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills as well as flexibility
