Job description

SEO & AI Search Intern (SEO / GEO / AEO)

This is a full-time, remote internship role.

As an SEO & AI Search Intern, you will help Atomity become easier to discover when technical and business buyers research cloud cost, multi-cloud infrastructure, workload placement, governance, compliance and digital sovereignty.

The role combines traditional SEO with the emerging world of AI-assisted search and answer engines. You will work on technical SEO, search intent, content architecture, structured data, analytics and experiments that improve how Atomity is discovered in both conventional search results and generative search experiences. This is not a content-volume role. The focus is on technically credible, useful and measurable organic growth.

  • Research search demand and buyer intent around multi-cloud, FinOps, cloud cost, workload placement, cloud governance, sovereign cloud and related infrastructure topics.
  • Build keyword, topic and intent maps for Atomity’s target audiences.
  • Turn recurring customer questions and product capabilities into high-value landing pages, technical explainers, comparison pages and use-case content.
  • Improve on-page SEO including titles, headings, metadata, internal linking and content structure.
  • Work with developers on crawlability, indexation, canonicalisation, sitemaps, robots directives and site architecture.
  • Audit Core Web Vitals, page performance and technical issues that can affect organic visibility.
  • Implement and validate relevant structured data and schema markup.
  • Optimise content for AI-driven search by making key entities, claims, definitions, comparisons and supporting evidence clear and easy to understand.
  • Create original, sourceable content from Atomity’s product knowledge, research, experiments and founder expertise rather than generic AI-generated articles.
  • Monitor how Atomity appears in Google Search, generative search features and other AI-assisted discovery surfaces where measurement is available.
  • Track impressions, clicks, queries, landing pages and generative-search visibility through Google Search Console.
  • Use web analytics to understand which organic visitors engage, convert and move deeper into the website.
  • Create dashboards and regular reports connecting search visibility with meaningful product or GTM outcomes.
  • Run SEO and content experiments, document hypotheses and measure results.
  • Identify content gaps by analysing competitors, search results and buyer questions.
  • Support credible authority-building through research, partnerships, references, digital PR and useful resources rather than artificial link-building.
  • Work with the founders and product team so published content accurately reflects Atomity’s technology and market position.
  • Evaluate emerging GEO/AEO practices critically and distinguish repeatable evidence from short-lived optimisation tactics.
  • Rybbit or equivalent web analytics platforms
  • Screaming Frog or similar technical SEO crawlers
  • Ahrefs, Semrush or equivalent SEO research tools
  • Google Trends and keyword research tools
  • PageSpeed Insights / Lighthouse
  • Schema.org and structured data testing tools
  • Content management systems
  • Spreadsheets and lightweight data analysis
  • AI tools for research, analysis and content workflows
  • Search and AI visibility tracking tools as the ecosystem evolves
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and how search engines crawl, index and rank web pages.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand technical B2B topics and explain them clearly.
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and performance metrics.
  • Interest in how AI is changing search and information discovery.
  • Attention to detail, especially around technical website changes and content accuracy.
  • Willingness to test ideas and measure outcomes rather than follow SEO assumptions blindly.
  • Comfortable working independently in an early-stage company.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console.
  • Experience with technical SEO audits.
  • Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog or similar tools.
  • Understanding of structured data and schema markup.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS or developer-focused content.
  • Experience with web analytics or conversion funnels.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, FinOps, infrastructure or cybersecurity topics.
  • Experience with content briefs, editorial workflows or programmatic SEO.
  • Interest in generative search, answer engines and LLM-driven discovery.
  • Experience analysing referral traffic from AI assistants or generative search products.
  • How technical SEO, content strategy and website architecture work together in B2B SaaS.
  • How search intent differs across technical users, practitioners and enterprise buyers.
  • How generative search changes discovery without replacing core SEO fundamentals.
  • How to use Search Console and web analytics to connect visibility with meaningful user behaviour.
  • How structured data, crawlability and content architecture affect machine understanding of a website.
  • How to create original technical content that earns visibility rather than mass-producing generic articles.
  • How to evaluate GEO/AEO ideas through experiments and data.
  • How organic search contributes to an early-stage company’s GTM pipeline.
  • How product, engineering and marketing teams collaborate on discoverability.
  • Own an important organic-growth channel from an early stage.
  • Work on the intersection of SEO, AI search and deep-tech B2B marketing.
  • Build content around real cloud infrastructure problems rather than generic marketing topics.
  • Work directly with the founders, product team and developers.
  • Use real analytics and search data to decide what to improve next.
  • Help shape how Atomity is understood by search engines, AI systems and potential customers.
  • High ownership from day one.
  • Opportunity to grow into an organic growth, technical SEO, content strategy or AI search role as Atomity scales.
