After successfully entering Germany and building a highly capable local team, the company is now entering the next phase of its growth. By 2027, they aim to deliver 3GW ready-to-build and energise all projects by 2029. To achieve these ambitious goals, they are strengthening their project development team with a dedicated Senior Urban Planner to drive the planning and permitting process across a growing portfolio.

The Role

As a Senior Urban Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing the entire urban development process. You’ll act as the main point of contact for all urban planning matters, working closely with project developers and external consultants to ensure projects progress efficiently and in line with development milestones.

Your key responsibilities will include :

• Lead and supervise the urban development process for renewable projects across Germany
• Serve as the key contact for all planning-related aspects within assigned projects
• Coordinate with project developers to ensure smooth progress through each planning milestone
• Appoint and manage external consultants, experts, and planning offices
• Review, supervise, and approve urban planning deliverables
• Manage tender processes and support project-related studies
• Ensure planning timelines align with project development goals

The ideal candidate :

• A background in urban planning, spatial development, or environmental planning (university degree or equivalent)
• Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or ideally BESS)
• Solid understanding of the German planning and permitting framework
• Experience working with or within urban planning consultancies or engineering offices
• Ability to manage external partners and lead planning processes independently
• A proactive mindset and willingness to work closely with colleagues in the Munich office
• Speak German Language to C1 level or above
