Infineon Technologies in Munich seeks a Senior Engineer Field Application Engineering to work closely with automotive customers, translating system requirements into robust designs and conducting technical training.

You will serve as the technical go-to expert for In-Vehicle Network solutions across EMEA, drive GTM support, develop reference designs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to grow system solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar field.
• 4+ years of professional experience as an Application Engineer or Development Engineer for automotive applications.
• Knowledge of Microcontroller, Ethernet Switches & Bridges and Memory products; EE-Architectures / In-Vehicle Network experience is a plus.
• Experience with electronic circuit analysis tools: oscilloscopes, debuggers, trace tools, logic analyzers.
• Embedded software and C programming skills.
• Strong communication, proactive and autonomous work style; willingness to travel.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus.

• Contribute to development of modern electronic systems for automotive market; be the technical go-to person for System Solutions in EMEA (In-Vehicle Network).
• Support go-to-market activities with solutions, reference designs, software and tools for customer applications; collaborate with EMEA FAE team, account managers and product experts.
• Discuss innovative application approaches with customer teams and coordinate with development/concept engineering to shape system requirements.
• Provide technical expert-level customer support at the application level including software/tools; validate applications with customers.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations and training to ensure understanding of system solutions and applications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify customer needs and develop targeted solutions.
• Drive business growth by providing technical leadership and uncovering new system-solution opportunities in EMEA.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Contribute to the development of modern electronic systems and their implementation in the innovative automotive market. Be the technical go-to-person in EMEA for System Solutions with focus on In-Vehicle Network for our key automotive customers


• Support of go-to-market activities by providing solutions, reference designs, Software and tools for our customers’ applications. Work proactively on optimized system solutions for our customers’ projects together with the entire European Field Application Engineering Team, the Account Managers, the product experts and the business line


• Discuss innovative application approaches with the customer development teams and collaborate with our development department and concept engineering teams to drive optimized new products and technologies. Understanding customers’ use cases and expected functions to be able to shape them into system requirements


• Technical expert level customer support on application level with focus on digital products like Microcontroller, Ethernet Switches/Bridges, Memories and Power Supply products incl. Software and tools. Validate the application with the customer


• Prepare and execute customer presentations and application training courses to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our system solutions and their applications


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize customer needs and develop targeted solutions to address them


• Drive business growth by providing technical leadership and expertise to key automotive customers, and by identifying new opportunities for system solutions and applications in the EMEA region

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar fields


• At least 4 years of professional experience as an Application Engineer or Development Engineer for automotive applications


• Knowledge about Microcontroller, Ethernet Switches & Bridges and Memory products and experience with EE-Architectures / In-Vehicle Network applications would be beneficial


• Experience with the analysis of issues in electronic circuits (familiar with Oscilloscopes, Debugger, Trace tools & Logic analyzer)


• Embedded software and C-programming skills


• Very good communication skills and strong drive, proactive and autonomous behavior


• Willingness to travel depending on business needs, combined with a very structured and reliable working style


• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus
