Senior Technical Lead - AV systems (m/w/d) — Mobileye, Koblenz - Neuwied

Mobileye is looking for a highly experienced and technically outstanding Senior Technical Lead to drive strategic technical leadership across hardware architecture, safety, system-level decision making, and cross-organizational execution. In this role, you will combine deep HW expertise, strong architectural judgment, and broad organizational influence to shape critical technical directions, strengthen engineering excellence, and support the growth of the team and Mobileye products. You will play a central role in ensuring HW excellence, leading complex technical topics with high standards, and acting as a trusted focal point for strategic discussions across the group and the wider Mobileye ecosystem. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical leader who can operate at both the detailed engineering level and the broader system and organizational level, while also driving practical innovation in areas such as AI‑enabled workflows and robust industrialization.

What will your job look like?

• Provide technical leadership in Mobileye Robotaxi initiative and move the organization toward industrialization of Mobileye L4 platforms.
• Serve as a key technical authority for hardware architecture, system-level thinking, and cross-domain technical alignment.
• Shape the technical direction of the group by contributing to long-term strategy, identifying risks, and influencing architectural decisions.
• Lead critical investigations and technical deep-dives, bringing clarity, structure, and strong judgment to complex topics.
• Guide and challenge internal and external stakeholders with confidence, ensuring ownership boundaries are clear and responsibilities remain well defined.
• Own and drive HW engineering work packages with exceptional technical rigor, ensuring high-quality execution even in resource-constrained environments.
• Support the development of robust industrialization flows and practical AI-based implementations that improve execution, efficiency, and technical quality.
• Mentor team members, including supporting transitions into management roles and strengthening team capability.
• Act as a trusted partner across Mobileye, building alignment, resolving ambiguity, and fostering effective collaboration with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Maintain exceptionally high standards in engineering quality, professionalism, and ownership.

All you need is:

• 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, system architecture, or a related technical leadership role.
• Hands‑on mindset with the ability to combine strategic thinking and practical execution.
• Proven experience leading HW design or similarly critical technical domains with strong ownership and accountability.
• Deep understanding of hardware architecture, system‑level tradeoffs, and cross-functional technical integration.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across teams, functions, and organizational boundaries.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring, developing, and enabling engineers and future leaders.
• Ability to make clear technical decisions, establish priorities, and push back constructively when needed.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in complex internal and external environments.
• Interest or experience in applying AI to engineering workflows, industrialization, or technical productivity improvements.
• B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
