T&S (Technology & Strategy) is seeking an Application Engineer for ADAS in Germany. You will lead vehicle-level calibration, tuning and integration across Driving, Safety, Parking and Vision functions, performing real-world evaluations and on-site validation.

The role demands hands-on experience with ECUs, ADAS sensors and software flashing, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel up to 50% is expected; German language is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Perform vehicle-level calibration, tuning and optimization for multiple variants and customer requirements.
• Support Driving, Safety, Parking and Vision functions.
• Execute software flashing, ECU bring-up, diagnostics, and data integration.
• Build and maintain test benches for tuning, validation and software integration.
• Conduct real-world vehicle evaluations with data collection and issue analysis.
• Perform real-time tuning and calibration using measurement tools.
• Coordinate dataset parameters with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and homologation requirements.
• Collaborate with Function Owners to align end-user requirements.
• Prepare dataset releases, test reports, release notes and traceability docs.
• Maintain documentation of tuning strategies and validation results.
• Experience with ADAS and solid system-level understanding.
• Analytical and debugging skills with system-level problem solving.
• Experience in vehicle testing, tuning and performance evaluation.
• Willingness to travel for customer support and on-site validation (~50%).
• EU Class-B driving license; VW prototype license is a plus.
• Experience with ADAS sensors (radar, camera, lidar).
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE or automotive safety standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
• Experience with version control (Git), Jira or similar tools.

• Support pre-development by collecting dataset parameters and coordinating with customer, mechanical, and system teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards, homologation requirements, and customer performance expectations.
• Collaborate with Function Owners and cross-functional teams to align end-user requirements.
• Prepare final dataset releases, smoke test reports, release notes, and traceability documentation.
• Maintain clear documentation of tuning strategies and validation results.
• Strong experience in ADAS combined with a solid system-level understanding.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with system-level problem-solving capability.
• Experience in vehicle testing, tuning, and performance evaluation.
• Willingness to travel for customer support and on-site validation (~50% travel).
• Valid EU Class-B driving license (VW prototype driving license is an advantage).
