Personio is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in Munich for a hybrid office-based role (3 days per week). You’ll collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Privacy teams to drive opportunities and growth across AT/CH regions.

You bring 3–5+ years in Solutions Engineering, strong SaaS and security knowledge, and a data‑driven, customer‑centric mindset. English is required; German/Swiss-German is essential, with French a plus. Travel up to 20% is expected.

• Serve as the primary contact for our sales team focusing on Mid‑Market customers in Austria and Switzerland.
• Support account/opportunity strategy and commercial positioning.
• Collaborate with account executives to determine technical requirements and scope.
• Be the product expert for sales and prospects with deep knowledge of Personio’s product suite.
• Own product positioning, use cases, technical landscape and demo best practices.
• Assist in creating commercial proposals and executive ROI/TCO calculations.
• Support other regions/markets as needed.
• Travel to customer sites as required (10–20%).

As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Go to Market organization, reporting to the Manager of International Solutions Engineering. You will work primarily with our ATCH sales team supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help drive our business and market growth. You will also be the interface between sales, Product & Eng, Customer Success, and data privacy on technical topics and product‑related projects.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

• You will be the primary point of contact for our sales team focused on working with our Mid‑Market customers in Austria and Switzerland.
• You will actively support on account/opportunity strategy and commercial positioning.
• You will collaborate with account executives on sales opportunities to determine and validate technical requirements and solution scope.
• As an SE, you’ll have deep technical knowledge of Personio’s product suite and be the first line of defense and product expert for sales and prospects.
• You will own and drive expertise around product positioning, product use cases, technical landscape and demo best practices.
• You will support the creation of commercial proposals and executive presentations, including business value assessment with ROI/TCO calculations.
• You will support other regions/markets as required.
• Travel to customer site as needed (10‑20% of time).

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

• You have 3‑5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar profession.
• You have a strong technical background and understanding of SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols.
• A broad understanding of the market for mid‑sized customers in ATCH such as profile, buying behaviours and dynamics.
• You are customer‑centric and commercially driven.
• You are also data‑driven, think analytically and are able to rightsize your efforts based on customer/business needs.
• Up to date knowledge in security/compliance (e.g. ISO27k).
• Clear and structured communication style that can suit changing dynamics.
• Working knowledge and understanding of value engineering and ROI/TCO Quantification.
• Native in German or Swiss‑German and full‑professional proficiency in English required. French is a plus.
