About the Role

Digital Realty is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead strategic enterprise engagements across the EMEA region. This senior, customer-facing role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to drive hybrid IT, cloud, interconnection, and AI‑enabled solutions for large enterprise customers. You will act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, enterprise architects, and IT leaders—shaping long‑term digital transformation strategies through executive briefings, architecture workshops, and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for complex, high‑value, and strategic enterprise pursuits
• Partner closely with Sales leadership on long‑term account strategy, deal positioning, and technology roadmaps
• Act as a long‑term trusted technical advisor to key enterprise customers at C‑level and senior IT leadership level
• Deliver executive briefings, architecture visioning sessions, and solution design workshops
• Architect and validate hybrid IT solutions across data centers, public and private cloud, interconnection, and high‑performance networking
• Advise customers on workload placement, application modernization, data gravity, and infrastructure transformation
• Engage with cloud providers, network partners, and technology vendors/partners to deliver integrated enterprise solutions
• Provide structured customer feedback into Product and Platform teams to influence service evolution
• Contribute to regional thought leadership through customer events, industry forums, webinars, and strategic briefings
• Share architectural insights with Sales Engineers and Solutions Architects through collaboration on complex customer engagements
• Influence regional go‑to‑market motions, solution frameworks, and technical messaging

Qualifications

• 10+ years enterprise IT or architecture experience and 5+ years in pre‑sales, consulting, or strategic advisory roles
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
• Cloud and enterprise IT certifications strongly preferred
• Enterprise IT architecture (servers, storage, virtualization, HCI, data center operations)
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud
• Knowledge of networking & interconnect: leaf‑spine, SDN, MPLS, private connectivity
• Infrastructure automation and orchestration (Terraform, Ansible, OpenStack, vRealize)
• Understanding of AI infrastructure and enterprise AI integration concepts (MLOps, GPUs, data governance)
• Fluent in English and German, with ability to communicate effectively at executive and technical levels; additional European languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
