Unzer is seeking a professional software engineer to join our Dynamics 365 and Azure-focused team in Berlin. You will design, develop, and maintain CRM solutions on Dataverse, integrate with Azure services, and contribute to secure, scalable data flows across the platform.

You will work across REST/GraphQL APIs, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions in small increments.

Qualifications

• Professional software engineering experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse in production.
• Experience with C# and .NET and JavaScript/TypeScript for Dynamics 365 customization.
• Experience operating Azure-based applications including cloud security, logging, monitoring and performance.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting REST, GraphQL and OAuth 2.0 integrations.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven integration is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform deployments.
• Strong judgment on software architecture, data consistency and maintainability.
• Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Help us connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 with our wider technology platform. As part of a cross‑functional team, you will work with product managers, business stakeholders and engineers to turn business needs into reliable software. Your work will combine Dynamics 365 and Power Platform development with Azure services, secure APIs and event‑driven integrations, taking solutions from design through deployment and operation..

What your work will look like:

• Design, develop, and maintain Dynamics 365 CRM solutions on Dataverse, including data models, plug‑ins, custom APIs, model‑driven Power Apps, and Power Automate flows. Choose configuration or custom code according to maintainability, performance, and business needs.


• Build Azure applications and integration services using C# and .NET, with services such as Azure Functions, App Service, and API Management to connect Dynamics 365 with the wider platform.


• Develop and consume REST APIs, Dataverse Web API and OData endpoints, and GraphQL APIs. Define clear contracts, validation, versioning, and error handling with the teams that own connected systems.


• Connect Dynamics 365 and Azure services to Apache Kafka through integration services and event producers and consumers. Design for retries, duplicate messages, schema evolution and reliable data synchronisation.


• Implement secure service‑to‑service access using OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Entra ID, including app registrations, permissions and managed identities where appropriate. Protect credentials and secrets with Azure Key Vault.


• Build and improve CI/CD for Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure applications. Use Git and Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate builds, tests and deployments, including solution packaging, managed solutions, environment variables and connection references.


• Own quality and operability through automated unit, integration and API contract tests, code reviews, monitoring and troubleshooting: document technical decisions and support releases and production incidents.


• Work closely with business and engineering colleagues to clarify requirements, agree acceptance criteria and deliver usable solutions in small increments.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Professional software engineering experience, including hands‑on delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse solutions in production.


• Strong C# and .NET skills, plus JavaScript or TypeScript for Dynamics 365 customisation. Practical experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, plug‑ins, Dataverse data modelling and security roles.


• Experience developing and operating applications on Azure, with an understanding of cloud security, configuration, logging, monitoring and application performance.


• Practical experience with REST, GraphQL and OAuth 2.0, and the ability to design, implement and troubleshoot integrations across system boundaries.


• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven integration, including producers and consumers, consumer groups, delivery semantics and idempotent processing.


• Hands‑on experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD, particularly application lifecycle management for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, and deploying Azure applications.


• Sound judgement about software architecture, data consistency and maintainability. You can explain technical trade‑offs clearly and collaborate across engineering and business functions.


• A degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have :

• AI‑assisted development using tools such as GitHub Copilot or coding agents to support implementation, test creation, debugging, and documentation. You review generated code critically and protect confidential data when using these tools.


• Infrastructure as code with Bicep or Terraform, custom Power Apps components using PCF, or integration with Microsoft 365 services through Microsoft Graph.
