PPRO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Berlin to own end-to-end development of local payments products, collaborating in small agile teams and shaping architecture and direction. You will work with Java and Kotlin, modern frameworks, and cloud-native stacks to deliver scalable solutions for customers worldwide.
The role requires hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Spring/Micronaut ecosystems, along with strong English communication and problem-solving skills.

Spanning over 50 nationalities across 10+ global locations, our diverse cultures aren't a checklist; they are the competitive advantage driving our innovation. This is a people-first, high trust environment where you’ll have the autonomy to make a massive impact, own your work end-to-end, and grow through broad exposure, meaningful challenges, and continuous learning. We get things done, challenge respectfully, put the customer first, and recognise that our biggest successes are those we create as a team. If you’re ready to leave your footprint on global commerce, join us.
At PPRO, Senior Software Engineers (m/w/x) make some of the most significant decisions for the company. Think of yourself as an important contributor to the success of your team, with a significant impact on the team’s product, but also on its culture and spirit. You will solve complex technical problems, participate in decisions on architecture and technical direction, support and mentor other engineers and work alongside them in the code.
Own products and services end-to-end, from requirements till deployment in our production systems. Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile teams. Be an integral part of a team, in addition to its culture and ways of working. Common practices include agile methodologies, pair and mob programming. Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale. Be part of a team that will take full operational responsibility for the services that you own, and potentially take part in an on-call rotation. Share your knowledge and build creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices.
