We are looking for motivated, multi-disciplinary engineers to join our Robot Group at Agile Robots AG in Munich as full-time employees. Developing the entire span of robot components in-house provides the control engineers of our Robot Group with unrestricted possibilities and the opportunity to work in close collaboration with the hardware teams. We believe that this is key to achieving the high‑end control performance that we are aiming for. This position focuses on production‑quality C++ software development for our professional industrial product line.
Design and develop C++20 software for our control stack (motion planning, full-body control, parameter identification, performance tests)
Collaborate with other teams on the robot system architecture
Write software tests and define hardware testing procedures
Give constructive code and architecture reviews
Work hands‑on with our robotic systems
Investigate and evaluate novel robotic technologies and algorithms
Evaluate and push the performance of our real‑time systems
5+ years of professional experience with modern C++ development (7+ preferred)
A dedication to good coding practices and a pragmatic way of thinking
Experience with robotic hardware systems or other transferable hardware knowledge
A good understanding of Linux operating systems, good troubleshooting and software debugging skills
Experience with common software engineering tools(e.g. Git, docker, build systems, software packaging)
The capability to work and communicate entirely in English
Deep expertise in robot Kinematics and Dynamics
A strong academic background in control engineering
Hands‑on experience in parameter identification and controller tuning
Good programming skills in Python or similar language
Experience in maintaining and extending our CI/CD pipelines
