Delivery Hero, Berlin-based and a global pioneer in local delivery, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to strengthen our Fintech team. You will build scalable wallet, payment, and anti-fraud solutions, advancing the internal Payments engine to support millions of users and merchants worldwide.

You will own core payment features end-to-end, contribute to reliability and security, and collaborate across multi-region microservices.

We are on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to join our Fintech team and build worldwide innovative Wallet, Payment, and Anti-Fraud solutions with us. Work and scale our internal Payments engine that would handle payments for the entire Delivery Hero. • Define and execute highly effective testing strategies by applying unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing at scale.
• Drive high-quality software design by systematically applying design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Build secure, resilient systems by applying secure coding best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex production issues across multi-region, distributed microservices platforms.
• Set the bar for operational excellence, including on-call standards, reliability engineering, and best-in-class observability practices.
• Influence engineering culture through hands‑on leadership, technical mentorship, and continuous improvement.
