As a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) you will work on complex problems in delivering renewable energy solutions: from digitalizing the planning of installation of solar panels with compelling frontend applications, to building APIs supporting real‑time energy data, all the way to scaling and operating cloud infrastructure in Azure.

At Enpal, you would be:

• Building software and celebrating incremental value, improving people’s experience and making an impact towards our climate goals.
• Improving developer happiness by automating stability, load tests and vulnerability scans, thereby removing manual regression testing.
• Growing & learning from knowledge in Kafka, graceful degradation, test‑driven development in React, Azure Bicep, and more.
• Working on architecture & vision, fusing old and new technologies such as cloud‑native microservices, IoT applications, a Salesforce backbone, and event‑driven architecture to solve organization‑spanning challenges.
• Steering for empathy and understanding, listening to operations, craftspeople and sales to balance stakeholder needs.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience building quality, scalable, flexible, maintainable, and testable software products.
• End‑to‑end ownership: independently set up and manage pipelines, infrastructure and deployment of your code.
• Cloud infrastructure experience managing full implementation of cloud services.
• Microservices & architecture design knowledge, including event‑driven architecture.
• Bonus experience with React, Flutter, MongoDB and Salesforce.
• Collaborative and open to feedback, contributing positively to team discussions.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English; German is an advantage.
• Passion for energy transition and desire to make a positive impact in the solar industry.
• Agile and lean mindset, prioritizing people over processes and code over documentation, focusing on MVPs and real‑user testing.
