The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend & ML, you’ll join a high-impact team of AI researchers, frontend engineers, product designers, and creative technologists to build and scale the infrastructure powering our end-to-end AI systems. From serverless ML pipelines to scalable video processing backends, your work will enable powerful automation and insights for creative and marketing teams.

You will embrace open-ended problems around the development, deployment, and scaling of ML models and have the opportunity to take ownership over a large scope of the design and development of our future product and pioneer new advancements in the way humans interact with creative GenAI features in the video and image space. You are the right fit if you’re passionate about creating user and business value and solving problems end-to-end with a strong product sense and design awareness. As a Senior SWE, you will partner with top global talent to build scalable, modular workflows and reliable AI models with user experience top of mind.

️What you bring

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering or a relevant field. 3+ years of experience if you have a PhD
• 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: video processing pipelines, computer vision, or media-related machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field
• Experience building backend systems with TypeScript/Node.js and AWS (especially serverless) or comparable technologies
• Experience with developing, deploying or scaling machine learning models from inception to business impact
• Comfortable working in modern cloud environments, especially AWS Lambda, S3, and event-driven systems
• Experience as an owner of a particular component, feature or system
• Able to make pragmatic technical decisions that support fast iteration and scaling
• Experience completing projects with a large and ambiguous scope
• Thrives in cross-functional teams and fast-paced, collaborative environments

What You’ll Do

• Innovate at the Cutting Edge: Work on bleeding-edge tech at the intersection of creativity, video, and AI
• Architect for scale: Help define backend architecture and APIs that support advanced AI capabilities and high-volume workloads
• Work closely with product & customers: Translate user needs into backend systems that deliver measurable value
• Integrate ML into production: Design and deploy serverless pipelines for video generation, speech synthesis, and computer vision
• Build core backend systems: Develop robust, scalable services using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda in a cloud-native architecture
• Own data & performance: Ensure fast, reliable processing and delivery of video data across the platform
• Shape product direction — your work will define the experience for people our products daily
