Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript | Energy-Tech)

Salary: €80,000 – €120,000 + Equity (0.2% – 0.5%)

Location: Onsite (Berlin)

A fast-growing energy‑tech company is building the core infrastructure powering the next generation of renewable energy plans across Europe. Their platform helps leading solar and heat‑pump providers launch their own dynamic electricity offerings.

The Role

You’ll work on the systems that make dynamic electricity plans possible, from modular billing engines and real‑time market communication protocols to full accounting ledgers. This is a high‑impact engineering role, focused on solving deep technical challenges in a complex and rapidly evolving industry.

• Simplify complexity through design. Transform intricate energy market processes into intuitive, reliable systems and APIs.
• Scale critical systems. Build and optimize core components, billing, data pipelines, and integrations for performance, correctness, and resilience.
• Own the delivery. Operate with full autonomy, driving features from concept to production with a bias for action.
• Elevate standards. Shape engineering principles, review critical code, and contribute to a culture that values clarity, pragmatism, and velocity.

Tech Stack

Our stack is TypeScript‑based across frontend and backend. While experience with our exact tools isn’t essential, you should be comfortable working in a modern TypeScript environment and learning quickly.

Frontend: Next.js (React), Tailwind, shadcn

Backend: Temporal, Hono, Postgres, Drizzle (ORM), Fragment, Stripe

• 3+ years of experience building reliable backend systems
• Experience in very high performing teams
