Job summary

TGW Logistics is seeking a software engineer to join the team in Germany. You will design, implement and optimize .NET applications, focusing on performance and scalability while collaborating with subject matter experts and customers.

You will test thoroughly (unit/integration/system) and contribute to the evolution of existing components, working in an agile environment and communicating fluently in German and English.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Several years of software development experience, ideally in logistics.
• Proficiency in .NET/C# and Oracle; familiarity with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban).
• Fluent in German and English, strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements with SMEs and develop well-thought-out concepts.
• Design and develop modern .NET applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Test solutions (unit, integration, system) and document them clearly.
• Maintain, extend and tune existing components for better performance.
• Support system commissions and project rollouts in collaboration with product and customer.
• Coach colleagues on complex technical challenges and share expertise.

What you'll be handling:

• Together with subject matter experts, you’ll analyze requirements and develop well-thought-out concepts.

What you'll need:

• You have a technical degree with a focus on software engineering or comparable experience.
• You have several years of experience in software development — ideally, but not necessarily, in the logistics sector.
• You are proficient in .NET / C# and are also familiar with Oracle.
• You understand agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and apply them in your daily work.
• You think conceptually, take a solution-oriented approach, and actively contribute your ideas.
• You enjoy working in a team, take on responsibility, and communicate clearly—including in German and English.
