Optimus Search is seeking a Senior Software Architect to design scalable cloud-native architectures and lead the development of distributed microservices platforms in a Berlin-based, on-site role. You will drive technical strategy, mentor senior engineers, and ensure highly available, secure systems across AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

The role requires a strong software architecture background, hands-on delivery, and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.

We're looking for a Senior Software Architect who thrives on solving large-scale technical challenges and designing cloud-native platforms that are built to last.

This is a genuinely hands-on architecture role where you'll shape modern software platforms from concept through to production, working alongside highly experienced engineering teams on mission-critical systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design scalable cloud-native architectures
• Lead the development of distributed microservices platforms
• Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions
• Mentor senior engineers and development teams
• Build highly available, secure and resilient systems
• Work across AWS, Azure and GCP environments
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code

We're Looking For

• Strong Software Architecture background
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Microservices
• Experience with AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of high-availability, scalability and security best practices
• Previous Technical Lead or Principal Engineer experience

Nice to Have

• AI or Generative AI exposure
• Mobile or enterprise platform experience
• Native of Business fluent German
